Andre the Mammoth Size Guide — Every Size Compared by Actual Measurements
1 May 2026 · 8 min read
Andre the Mammoth is one of Bad Dragon's most recognisable designs — a mammoth-themed fantasy dildo with a tapered shaft and a dramatically flared base. It has stayed near the top of the catalogue for years and remains one of the most asked-about products in the fantasy category.
A size guide is useful for Andre — more than for most toys — because the proportions are deliberately uneven. The tip is narrow, the midpoint moderate, the base disproportionately wide. Picking a size on insertable length alone is the most common mistake people make. A Medium that looks reasonable in a listing photo has a base already wider than what many people would consider their comfortable ceiling.
This guide covers every Andre size currently produced, what each size means in practice, and affordable alternatives if Bad Dragon's pricing or wait times don't work for you.

Per-size breakdown
Mini
The Mini sits in beginner territory at the tip and midpoint — 2.0cm and 4.3cm — but the base is already 7.1cm, wider than most "average" realistic dildos at their widest point. That's the first thing to register about Andre at any size. The shaft is accessible as a first fantasy toy, but the base is decorative more than functional unless you're already comfortable in that range. Most Mini owners use it well short of full insertion.
Small
The Small is where the Andre proportions start to feel like the design intent. Tip 2.5cm, midpoint 6.1cm — squarely above-average — base 9.1cm. The size most often recommended as a starting point for people already comfortable with Full-bracket girth (4.5–6cm midpoint). Insertable length 16.8cm is manageable without depth concerns for most users.
Medium
Medium is the most commonly purchased Andre size, and probably the one the design was conceived around. The 7.9cm midpoint is well into Large bracket territory, and the 12.2cm base is the measurement that makes the photos look the way they do. If you've used Full-bracket toys comfortably and want the Andre experience without scaling up further, this is the natural fit.
Large
A serious step up. Midpoint 9.7cm is past the diameter most people work toward as a long-term goal, and the 15.7cm base is approaching extreme. Insertable length 27.9cm means depth becomes a real factor too. For people already using Large-bracket fantasy toys regularly who want something that pushes further.
XL
XL is where Andre stops being a step up and becomes a project. An 11.7cm midpoint and 19.1cm base require deliberate, gradual training over time. Most XL owners also own a Medium or Large and use those more often. Not a size to buy speculatively.
2XL
A niche product. At 41.9cm insertable, 15.5cm midpoint, and 24.1cm base, the 2XL is outside what most people will ever use. If you're looking at this size and don't already own at least the XL, buy the smaller size first.
The base is the whole point
Across every Andre size the base is 3–4 times wider than the tip. That ratio is the defining feature of the design — more than length, more than midpoint — and the mammoth aesthetic depends on it.
In practice: the midpoint is not the toy's most demanding dimension — the base is. Sizing on midpoint alone underestimates what the toy is. Full insertion means committing to that base diameter, which for most sizes is well above what a typical realistic dildo offers. There's nothing wrong with using an Andre at shaft depth and treating the base as a visual feature — that's how a lot of people use them. The flared base also makes Andre safe for anal use at every size.
Budget alternatives
Not ready to spend $90+ on Bad Dragon silicone? Here's what the fantasy dildo market looks like at lower price points — with actual measurements so you can compare directly.
- Beginner Dragon Knotted Fantasy Dildo — 16.5cm insertable, 5.7cm mid. $17.98. Similar length to a Small Andre with a midpoint between Small and Medium.
- Curved Alien Dragon Monster Fantasy Dildo 8in — 16.5cm insertable, 5.0cm mid. $15.99. Slightly slimmer than the Beginner Dragon.
- Monster Thick Girthy Fantasy Dildo Clear Pink 8in — 16.5cm insertable, 5.71cm mid. $27.99. Similar dimensions to the first option in a clear silicone-look finish.
- Thick Dragon Fantasy Dildo 10in — 17.5cm insertable, 6.81cm mid. $26.99. Closer to a Medium Andre at the midpoint, shorter overall.
- Inflatable Monster Fantasy Knot Dildo 10in — 23.5cm insertable, 5.4cm mid. $59.99. Length comparable to a Medium Andre, with an inflatable knot mechanism Andre doesn't have.
- Monster Horse Knot Fantasy Dildo Wolf 9.25in — 20.5cm insertable, 9.5cm mid. $26.99. The widest budget option — closer to a Large Andre at the midpoint.
A note on material: most Amazon fantasy toys at these prices are TPE or PVC rather than platinum-cured silicone. TPE is softer and warms up faster against the body, but it's porous and can't be fully sterilised — replace it more often and don't share it. Bad Dragon is platinum silicone: non-porous and more durable. Not better or worse — different.
Mid-tier alternatives
If you want premium platinum silicone fantasy designs without the Bad Dragon waitlist or price, these are worth considering.
- Dragon Roar 8.5" by Creature Cocks — 15.2cm insertable, 5.1cm mid. $123. Shorter than a Small Andre with a comparable midpoint; smoother profile.
- Dragon Tongue 9.6" by Creature Cocks — 20.1cm insertable, 6.1cm mid. $142. Length and midpoint sit between Small and Medium Andre.
- Dragon Spawn 7.25" by Creature Cocks — 15.2cm insertable, 5.8cm mid. $132. Ovipositor design — different category of fantasy, but similar dimensions to a Small Andre.
- Uberrime Kraken's Revenge — 14.6cm insertable, 4.0cm mid. $125. The slimmest platinum-silicone option, closer to Mini Andre at the midpoint.
All genuine platinum-cured silicone — same material category as Bad Dragon — at lower price points and without the production wait. No exact Andre analogue exists, but the smaller Bad Dragon sizes have closer matches here than the larger ones.
