Satisfyer Pro 2 Review: The Best-Selling Air-Pulse Toy, Evaluated

9 April 2025 · 7 min read

The Satisfyer Pro 2 is almost certainly the most purchased air-pulse sex toy ever made. It sits at a low price point (typically £20–30), was one of the first air-pulse toys to achieve mass market distribution, and has over a million reviews across platforms. Its market position does not make it automatically the best product in its category — but it does make it worth understanding precisely, because it is what most people are actually choosing when they enter the air-pulse category.

What It Actually Does

The Pro 2 uses pressure wave technology — it creates rapid pressure oscillations around the clitoris via a soft silicone nozzle rather than contact vibration. The nozzle creates a seal around the clitoris, and the pressure waves stimulate the clitoral tissue without direct contact. This mechanism produces a sensation distinct from standard vibration.

Nozzle size: The Pro 2 nozzle opening is approximately 3.5cm diameter with an inner stimulation chamber. This suits most clitoral anatomy but is not universal — smaller or larger anatomy may have difficulty achieving a consistent seal, which significantly affects effectiveness.

Intensity levels: 11 intensity levels. The range is meaningful — the lowest settings are genuinely gentle, the highest are intense. Most users spend time in the 4–7 range.

Water resistance: IPX7-rated (submersible to 1 metre for 30 minutes). This is more useful than it sounds — easy cleaning under running water and bath or shower use.

Charging: The older Pro 2 models (prior to 2020) used AAA batteries, which was a significant drawback. Current versions are rechargeable via magnetic USB cable. Confirm you are buying a rechargeable version — the battery version is still sold in some markets and is much less desirable.

What the Pro 2 Does Well

Price-to-function ratio. At £20–30, it provides genuine air-pulse stimulation that competes functionally with toys at 2–4 times the price. The mechanism works. For buyers entering the category for the first time without certainty that air-pulse stimulation will work for them, the low cost is a real advantage.

Speed of effect. Air-pulse toys in general, and the Pro 2 specifically, are reported by many users to produce orgasm more reliably and faster than standard vibrators. This is not universal, but the mechanism is effective for a significant proportion of users.

Cleaning. The nozzle detaches for cleaning; the body is waterproof. Easier to clean than many toys with recessed motors.

Where the Pro 2 Underperforms

Build quality. Compared to Womanizer toys in the same category, the Pro 2 feels cheaper — because it is. The plastic feels lighter, the silicone tip is less refined, and the button feel is more basic. This does not affect function significantly, but it is noticeable side by side.

Nozzle design. The Womanizer and some other competitors have more refined nozzle designs that create a better seal on more varied anatomy. The Pro 2's nozzle is functional but less ergonomic than premium alternatives.

Noise. The Pro 2 is audible at higher settings. At intensity level 9–11, it produces a buzzing sound that is not discreet in thin-walled situations. Lower settings are quieter.

Longevity. The Pro 2 is not designed as a long-term purchase. Several years of regular use is a reasonable expectation; a decade-long product is not what you are buying at this price point.

How It Compares to Womanizer

The Womanizer Premium and Womanizer Classic sit at £60–120 and are the primary alternatives in the air-pulse category. The main differences: Womanizer nozzle design is more refined and produces better seal consistency on varied anatomy; Womanizer build quality is noticeably higher; Womanizer has Autopilot mode (random intensity variation) that the basic Pro 2 lacks.

For buyers who try the Pro 2 and find the mechanism works well for them, upgrading to a Womanizer for the long term is a common and logical progression.

Who Should Buy the Pro 2

Air-pulse category newcomers who want to test the mechanism before spending more. The Pro 2 is the lowest-risk entry to the category.

Budget-constrained buyers. If £20–30 is the working budget, the Pro 2 is the best product available at that price. There is no meaningful competitor at this price point.

Those who already own a vibrator and want something different. The air-pulse sensation is genuinely distinct from vibration. As a second or complementary toy, the Pro 2 makes sense at its price.

Who should buy something else instead: People with anatomy that struggles to create a seal with the Pro 2 nozzle (either very small or larger clitoral anatomy) may find the Womanizer's range of nozzle sizes more functional. People who want a premium long-term purchase should skip the Pro 2 and go directly to a Womanizer or Lelo Sona.
