Njoy Pure Wand Guide: Size, Use, and Whether It's Worth the Price

24 April 2025 · 7 min read

The Njoy Pure Wand has been manufactured in the same form since 2008 and remains the single most frequently recommended stainless steel sex toy in informed circles. It is not a new product, it is not a trend product, and it has not been updated in a decade and a half. This consistency is itself informative — it suggests a design that works rather than a design looking for a reason to exist.

This guide covers what it is, why it is effective, who it is for, and how to use it.

What It Is

The Pure Wand is a double-ended, curved stainless steel wand. It is entirely non-motorised — no vibration, no electronics. It works through shape and firmness alone.

Dimensions: 34cm total length. One end is 2.5cm diameter (1 inch); the other end is 3.5cm diameter (1.4 inches). The curve is the key design feature — a pronounced arc that, when the toy is inserted and the handle is used as a lever, positions either end directly against the G-spot or P-spot.

Material: 100% 304 stainless steel. Fully non-porous, fully sterilisable, no leaching, no degradation. The material is the reason the product remains recommended without updates — there is nothing to improve about food-grade steel.

Weight: 567g (1.25 lbs). Heavy for its size. This weight is functional, not incidental — it is part of why the toy produces the sensation it does.

Why It Works

The Pure Wand's primary mechanism is direct, firm pressure against the anterior vaginal wall (G-spot) or the prostate, enabled by the curve's geometry.

Most flexible toys — including many vibrators — flex under pressure, distributing the load rather than concentrating it. Stainless steel does not flex. When the curved end of the Pure Wand is pressed against the G-spot, it stays there with the full force applied via the handle. This concentrated, sustained, hard pressure is the specific sensation associated with the type of intense stimulation many people describe as distinct from vibration-based stimulation.

The weight assists with this — the heft of the toy means gravity provides passive pressure even with minimal effort from the user. Some users describe this as the toy "doing the work" more than expected.

G-Spot Use

Insert the larger end (3.5cm diameter) and orient the curve upward toward the anterior wall. The handle will be pointing downward and away from the body.

The movement: Rocking the handle rather than thrusting produces the most direct G-spot contact. With the toy inserted and oriented correctly, small downward movements of the handle produce upward pressure against the anterior wall. Long back-and-forth strokes are usually less effective than shorter, more precise rocking.

Pressure: Start gentle. The firmness of the toy means pressure accumulates differently than with a flexible toy. Many users find they can work up to more pressure than they initially expected; starting gently and building is more useful than starting with full leverage.

Lube: Essential. Water-based or silicone-based both work on stainless steel (no material compatibility issue). A generous application before insertion; reapply if needed.

Prostate Use

The smaller end (2.5cm diameter) is the recommended starting point for prostate use.

Insert with the curve directed toward the prostate (anterior wall of the rectum) — this means the curve should be oriented toward the navel. The handle will point away from the body. The same rocking motion as for G-spot use applies.

The Pure Wand is one of the most frequently recommended prostate toys alongside dedicated prostate massagers for exactly the same reason it works for G-spot use — firm, direct, precise pressure. The non-vibrating design suits users who find vibrating prostate toys overstimulating or simply prefer manual control.

Temperature Play

Stainless steel holds temperature well and transfers it efficiently to tissue. The Pure Wand is frequently used for temperature play — chilled in cold water or warmed in warm water before use. The effect is pronounced; the toy transmits temperature through contact noticeably.

Cold: Chill in cold water (not ice — freezing stainless steel is not recommended for body use) for 5–10 minutes. The sensation on insertion is significantly cooling.

Warm: Run under warm tap water (not boiling) for a few minutes. Body temperature can feel neutral; warm water creates a noticeable contrast.

Is It Worth the Price?

The Pure Wand retails for approximately £100–120. This is expensive relative to most sex toys and inexpensive relative to premium vibrators from brands like Lelo.

The case for the price: it will last indefinitely. Stainless steel does not degrade, does not harbour bacteria, does not need replacement. The initial cost is the total lifetime cost. For users who know they want a firm, non-vibrating G-spot or prostate toy, there is no better option at any price.

The case against: if you do not know whether you prefer firm/non-vibrating stimulation, it is a significant investment in a specific type of sensation. A less expensive curved toy would let you test the concept first.

If you have used firm curved dildos or G-spot vibrators on their non-vibrating setting and found the firm pressure satisfying, the Pure Wand is worth the price.
